Secret to Health and Longevity - My Talks
Summary and the references for the two zoom sessions yesterday (7/17/2024)
7/17/2024 Supporter Zoom Sessions
Dear Kool Beens,
A quick summary and the references for the two zoom sessions yesterday is as follows:
We discussed that individuals who have good family relations and good community that is supportive and makes them happy are healthier and live longer after 50 years of age. I presented the longest study in the world, the Harvard Study of Adult Development, and the case of Roseto town in Pennsylvania. In both of these studies the underline observation was (and I am paraphrasing) that health relationships and a happy life leads to a healthy body, reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases/events, and improves longevity. In some cases, the cholesterol levels at 50 were less important compared to health relationships.
We also discussed the arachidonic acid pathway with special focus on cyclooxygenase enzyme, lipoxygenase enzyme; and the supplements and allopathic medicines that can modulate these pathways. We discussed aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, celecoxib, etc. in addition to fish oil/omega-3, curcumin, Boswellia, and many other supplements.
Thank you for being a supporting member and for joining these zoom sessions.
