Pharmacists Can Prescribe Pfizer’s Covid Pill Under FDA Order
Tell me honestly, did you believe this will happen? (Does not matter if you like this decision or not, just your reaction to it.)

In my opinion it is a desperate attempt to get the drug to market in a race for public opinion which is turning against them. "Early treatment" was a buzzword before Paxlovid got the green light. Egg on their faces if they don't get something out quick. Never mind it doesn't work as planned or that the studies were quick and small. If at all, should only be under the watchful eyes of clinicians.
I’m a pharmacist (retired, thank goodness), but this sounds like a bad idea to me. The black box warnings, plus I’m pretty sure my professional liability insurance didn’t cover things like this. But my biggest problem, personally, would be that I know that far safer and far more effective treatments (ivermectin is one) are available. I hope pharmacists refuse to fill it. Unfortunately, many are as captured as the rest of our medical folks.
